The Elevated Closed Loop Cooling Tower Two Skid System 08 manufactured by Whaley Products, Inc. is a closed loop tower system for potable applications. This configuration can serve a wide range of applications in unlimited capacity ranges. With closed loop tower systems, the tower water is isolated from the process fluid, therefore allowing you to utilize this system to cool process fluids such as glycol, hot quench tank water, salt water, oil, among others. It also helps maintain a clean process fluid. This configuration includes an open loop tower(s) installed on a subframe and elevated platform in conjunction with a separate skidded indoor heat transfer skid pump tank system. Included on this indoor heat transfer pump tank skid is an isolation heat exchanger, tower water reservoir, strainer, cooling tower circulation pump, heat exchanger circulation pump, and controls. The isolation heat exchanger is specifically chosen for the client’s fluid, flow rate, and temperatures. Included in the controls are on/off switches for the pump and tower fan(s). It also includes a digital temperature controller that cycles the tower fan based on tower basin temperature. This configuration is helpful for customers who want to keep their buffer reservoir, pumps, and heat exchanger indoors to protect it against freezing in cold climate regions while allowing flexibility to still achieve a true closed loop design.

Elevated Closed Loop Cooling Tower Two Skid System 08
This complete elevated closed loop two skid cooling tower system is made up of an Evaporative Induced Draft Cooling Tower Module and a Cooling Tower Heat Transfer Pump Tank System. This unit is an evaporative induced draft cooling tower system, which is typically installed outdoors. The cooling tower is factory mounted on an epoxy coated steel sub-frame with fork slots and lifting eyes with steel legs to elevate the tower. The steel legs allow the cooling tower water to gravity return back to the Cooling Tower Heat Transfer Pump Tank System included in this system. The second component is the Cooling Tower Heat Transfer Pump Tank System, which is typically installed indoors. This system contains a water reservoir, plate and frame heat exchanger, and pumps. One pump (cooling tower circulation pump) circulates the cooling tower to keep the Cooling Tower Heat Transfer Pump Tank System’s reservoir at the target set point temperature. The other pump (heat exchanger circulation pump) pulls out of the reservoir, circulates the plate and frame heat exchanger, and returns back to the system’s reservoir.
