The Single Skid Closed System with Process Side Equipment 09 manufactured by Whaley is a complete packaged closed loop cooling tower system. This unit comes with a tower installed on a frame along with a heat exchanger circulation pump, strainer, controls, and isolation heat exchanger. It also includes a process side pump tank system installed on the same skid to circulate the process side of the heat exchanger as well as the customer’s application. The isolation heat exchanger is specifically chosen for the client’s fluid, flow rate, and temperatures. This allows virtually any fluid heat load to be served by this equipment. Included in the controls are on/off switches for the pump and tower fan(s). It also includes a digital temperature controller that controls the tower fan based on tower basin temperature. This configuration is helpful for customers who want to isolate the process fluid from the tower in instances of high temperatures and process fluids other than water, while allowing a large buffer tank volume all on one frame.

This unit is an evaporative induced draft cooling tower system, which is typically installed outdoors. The cooling tower module is factory mounted on an epoxy coated steel frame with fork slots and lifting eyes. Also included on the skid is a Cooling Tower/Heat Exchanger Circulation Pump, Flushable Stainless Steel Strainer, Heat Exchanger, and Master Control Panel & Disconnect Package. The second component of this single skid system is the Process Supply Pump Tank System. This system contains a water reservoir and pumps. The heat exchanger circulation pump circulates the heat exchanger to keep the Process Supply Pump Tank System’s reservoir at the target set point temperature. The process supply pump pulls out of the reservoir, circulates to your downstream application, and returns back to the system’s reservoir.
